There are so many options to consider when approaching your reconstruction plan after your mastectomy. I had gone back-and-forth considering going flat we’re going with implants instead. I knew that the flap reconstruction was not going to be the best for my body given my weekend immune system with multiple sclerosis and the extensive recovery time for this. Not to mention additional scars on my abdomen.
I have to say that still the thought of going flat just sounds easier to maintain obviously and to me not having my natural breasts seems more emotionally accepting than having something there that is fake.
but nevertheless I am extremely happy with my silicone implants. After all I did receive a pretty significant reduction and size which I’m very happy with. I had been a 34 double D in my late teens and they did get bigger from there. I am currently at a 235cc. Upon my initial surgery in August of 2020 we started started at 350cc. And after a month or so they still felt ginormous to me.
Right now I am pleased with the low profile silicone gummy implants by Natrelle.

For me, my post op foobs were a similar feeling! I was so happy to have made the decision and gone through the surgery feeling empowered and relieved at the same time, all I wanted to do was show them off
